How does the WhatsApp connection work?
Our default plan uses a self-hosted gateway. During onboarding, the platform displays a standard WhatsApp Web pairing QR code. Simply scan it using the "Linked Devices" feature on your phone to connect the bot flow immediately.
Is there a ban risk with self-hosted gateways?
Self-hosted links simulate browser sessions. To minimize risk, we built rate-limit throttling (maximum 30 messages/hour) and automatic opt-out triggers (when contacts reply STOP). For absolute compliance and heavy volumes, you can swap to our Verified Cloud API tier.
Why are there no per-message fees?
Unlike other platforms that charge markups per transaction conversation, we believe automation should be accessible at flat pricing. Your subscription covers our hosting infrastructure, and there are no hidden fees.
Can I customize the templates?
Yes! During onboarding (and in dashboard settings), you can edit fields like Greeting text, service list labels, products list, catalog items, and business hours. These custom fields map directly to variables executed in the flow engine.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
All your logged records, messages, and contact logs are stored securely in your database. If you cancel, your data is retained for 30 days before deletion. While we are building self-serve CSV exports directly inside the workspace settings, you can contact us at any time and we will manually extract and send you a complete export of your records.
Do you offer support during setup?
Yes! We offer onboarding assistance via Email/Community for all plans, and 24/7 priority support with dedicated Slack/WhatsApp channels for the Business and Verified tiers.
Can I use my existing WhatsApp Business number?
Yes! You can use any active WhatsApp number. Connecting it to WhatsFlow will run alongside your mobile phone, but we recommend dedicating a number to avoid mixing personal chats with automated business flows.
